Our November/December show is called "Small Pleasures" and it is indeed! We asked our artists to create "Small Pleasures" for under $500 for this exhibit. They really came through with a stunning show as well as wonderful gift ideas for the holidays. Pete Jordan is offering 12"X12" oil painting treasures; all scenes from Whidbey Island that will be familiar to all.
This painting by Pete Jordan is called "Norway Maple" and captures one of the heritage trees of Langley on the corner of 2nd and Park. This tree has graced this corner for at least a hundred years and continues to shower its lovely leaves on the town.
This painting is called "Maxwelton Road Autumn". Pete captured a great red barn so reminiscent of the incredible farming community in that valley.
We are introducing two new artists this show. Jason Waskey is an oil painter
and the pieces are perfect for gifts. Jason paints scenes of ordinary people and ordinary places and things with the goal for others to see the extraordinary in these scenes. He has a wonderful sense of humor that pops thru his painting!
This painting apply called "Lemon" is a little gem. His paintings are about everyday things and scenes.
This painting is called "Tekki Maki" by Jason Waskey also. These little paintings are about 12X12" and framed in nice black frames.
As artist Sara Saltee says, “Small pleasures may never desert you…” and we agree. We are certain you will find just the right ‘small pleasure’ for yourself or loved ones to treasure for a lifetime at Brackenwood Gallery.
