SPOTLIGHT: Kent Lovelace

We're pleased to welcome Kent Lovelace to the gallery with his first spotlight show this March. Kent calls Whidbey Island his home, and is well known throughout the Pacific Northwest as a master printmaker who has worked with such artists as Jacob Lawrence, Dale Chihuly, and Russell Chatham. He is a highly sought after oil painter whose work is collected across the nation.

Kent paints on copper, a tradition dating back to the Renaissance, employed by El Greco, Chardin, Rembrandt, and others who created masterworks that have stood the test of time. From his landscapes to his wildlife pieces, the radiance of copper shines through Kent's work, enhancing each piece with a rich glow.

SPOTLIGHT: Ned Mueller

Ned spends much of his time roaming near and far painting plein air— works completed outdoors, on site. Ned will be in Langley during March, teaching a workshop at WIFAS.
